The Necker-Enfants Malades Institute is a leading Research Center for Molecular Medicine in the heart of Paris, France. The Institute is in close interaction with the Necker Hospital, which features pediatric departments, clinical departments for adult patients and a clinical biology department, all with a long-lasting tradition of excellence and outstanding medical science. The Institute promotes interdisciplinary approaches from state-of-the-art fundamental science to translational applications.
The Necker-Enfants Malades Institute invites applications for group leader positions to reinforce the Department of Immunology-Microbiology-Haematology, which currently comprises 7 research groups and >100 staff. The candidates should be dynamic and qualified investigators with a strong track record and an ambitious research program. Applications from both Junior investigators (wishing to establish a new group) and Senior investigators (wishing to move with their established group) will be considered. New groups are expected to start in late 2013 or in 2014. Although applications from investigators with interests complementary to existing groups are particularly welcome, candidates working in all fields of immunology, microbiology and haematology will be considered. Development of transversal projects with departments of Necker Hospital (Nephrology, Pneumology, Endocrinology, Metabolism, Haematology, Gastroenterology, Dermatology, Neurology) is encouraged.
The selected candidates will benefit of newly renovated lab spaces and excellent core facilities for cell imaging, flow cytometry, bioinformatics, morphology, viral vector production, genomics, proteomics and animal housing. A stimulating international environment and graduate programs of the Paris Descartes University are well established. Appointed group leaders will be assisted in applications to National and European programs (Inserm, ANR, ATIP-Avenir, Equipes FRM, ERC).
Applications will include a CV, list of publications, a brief description of past achievements (2 pages) and future research (2 pages), names and contacts of three referees. Applications must be sent to Dr. Peter van Endert by April 16, 2013 at the following address: firstname.lastname@example.org
